#Exhibition The ‘Seongbuk-gu Choi Man-lin Art Museum’ was established by purchasing the Jeongneung residence where Choi Man-lin, a representative Korean sculptor, lived for 30 years from Seongbuk-gu and creating a branch of the Seongbuk-gu Art Museum. This space was the foundation of Choi Man-lin’s life from 1988 to 2018, as well as the studio where he created his world of works. It is a very meaningful place that the place where the artist’s personal history and traces of 30 years are piled up has been reborn as a public art museum while preserving its original form as much as possible. The Seongbuk-gu Choi Man-lin Art Museum dreams of growing into a mecca for Korean modern and contemporary sculpture, centering on Choi Man-lin’s major works and related materials from each era, and hopes to become a space where art researchers and future generations can conduct research! In addition, as an art museum based in the region, it aims to establish itself as an art museum that approaches local residents through various cultural programs.
