I savored the crispy perfection of kimchi jeon (kimchi pancakes) and the comforting warmth of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup). Of course, no visit to Seoul was complete without a samgyeopsal (pork belly BBQ) feast, where the smoky aroma and sizzling sounds made every bite unforgettable. Jeju, on the other hand, offered a taste of the island’s unique bounty. I devoured heukdwaeji (black pork BBQ), a Jeju specialty, and marveled at the delicate flavors of jeonbokjuk (abalone porridge). Fresh hoe (sashimi) by the seaside and the sweet, tangy burst of hallabong (Jeju tangerines) were pure bliss. For accommodation, I stayed at Hostel Korea - Original, located at Jongno District, Seoul. It was a cozy, budget-friendly spot with a welcoming vibe, perfect for exploring the city.
