Seoul|Six days and five nights|Accompanying my father|2024.08.20-08.25

Not driving, traveling with my father who is over 60 years old. If you are going to Seoul for the first time, or planning to travel alone, this post is for you. The itinerary is suitable for people who want to see the history and culture, experience life in Seoul, and are not in a hurry to complete the itinerary, but not suitable for shopping people. —————————————————————————————— The first card I recommend is the “Climate Companion Card”. [You can find it by searching on Google] This card allows you to choose from 1 to 7-day passes, which can be used for "subway in Seoul (within the metropolitan area), Seoul-licensed buses in the city, community buses (including late-night buses), and Dinglingling buses". The 7-day pass is only 20,000 won. Well worth it. (You can buy it directly at subway stations and convenience stores like 7-11!) After use, you can use it as a T-money card. The second card is the "wowpass card", which is suitable for transportation and ordinary food payments. It is similar to the Octopus card, but can be exchanged for foreign currency. It is easy to use when we take the subway outside the metropolitan area, buy things at convenience stores and pay at restaurants. Note: 1. Cash is generally required at night markets. 2. You can download the wowpass card apps first, use the electronic card or find out the location of the vending machine first, and make sure you will get off at Incheon Airport Terminal 1/2. You will have to queue up in long lines at Myeongdong and Hongdae subway stations. 3. It was my first time to go to Korea, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a currency exchange place there, so I exchanged won at a Hong Kong bank [0.062]. I found that the exchange rate was lower than wowpass [0.067], local and airport currency exchange shops [0.071]. I suggest that you exchange at half the rate at a Hong Kong bank! ) 4. I would not recommend you to buy a transfer card, because seniors can enter many attractions for free, nor would I recommend you to buy a T-money card, because there are two cards with better discounts. But if you don't want to bother, it's up to you. Day 1 (We took an overnight flight, so we got off the plane at around 7am, but we queued until almost 9am to leave the airport. Since it was the first day, I was worried that my dad hadn’t adapted to the weather, and we were in a strange place, so we changed the original route.) Morning: Arrived at Incheon Airport, took the subway, went to the hotel, and had lunch. Noon: Go to Gwanghwamun Station, visit Deoksugung Palace, pass by Seoul Library, and go to Seoul Plaza (it is recommended to go there in the evening, there is nothing to see at noon), and wait for the sightseeing bus (you can make an appointment in advance, it is suitable for the elderly to take a rest) Evening: Go to the Myeongdong Night Market and have dinner. In addition, you can also plan your itinerary according to the following route, because it follows the route: Lunch Route A: Bosingak (Jonggak Station Exit) - Insadong Street - Alai Magic 4D Art Museum (10:00-18:00) - Ikseondong Hanok Village - Gwangjang Market (09:00-23:00, closed on Sundays) Evening Route A: Visit the Seoul Station Culture Station Seoul 284 - Seoullo 7017 (Sky Garden Pedestrian Walkway) - Sungnyemun Evening Route B: Take the cable car or bus to Seoul Tower, enjoy the mountain view, then take the cable car down the mountain and go to Myeongdong Night Market. Day 2 Morning: Rest. [You can go to the National Palace Museum at Gyeongbokgung Station first] Noon: Go to Tongin Market, the presidential palace Cheong Wa Dae (reservation required), [you can walk to the Folk Museum], walk to Bukchon Hanok Village and Samcheongdong Street, take the bus back to the hotel to rest. Evening: Go to Myeongdong Night Market (a must-go!) and watch the Nanta show (a must-go!), and have dinner. Day 3 Morning: Arrive at Suwon Station, have lunch, and visit Suwon Palace and Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. Afternoon: Go to Gangnam Station, stroll around Gangnam Underground Street and nearby, go to Samseong Station, go to COEX Aquarium (a must-go!) Evening: Visit Samseong Mall, Starfield Library and Seven Luck Casino, and have dinner. Day 4 Morning: Go to Heunghwamun, Seoul Museum of History and Gyeonghuigung Palace. Noon: Go to Namdaemun Market, have lunch, take the subway, and go to the National Museum of Korea (a must-go!) Evening: Go to Yeouido (Han River Park), take a sightseeing boat, and enjoy the night view and fireworks (reservation is required online). Day 5 Morning: Arrive at Sanggal Station, transfer to bus to Korean Folk Village. (I highly recommend this attraction, it is suitable for all ages, and the rides are a must for children! Young people can play in the haunted house!) Afternoon: Take the bus to Hongdae Shopping Street and have dinner. Day 6 Morning: Check out, store luggage, and have lunch. Noon: Go to Jongmyo Shrine (under maintenance! Not recommended!), visit Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace (a must-go!), check in at Dongdaemun Design Plaza [Dongdaemun Market, closed on Sundays], pick up luggage, and go to the airport. Evening: Have dinner at the airport and return to Hong Kong. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Be careful to distinguish. 2. You have to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace on a sunny day. You have to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace on a sunny day. You have to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace on a sunny day! 3. Among the five palaces, there is one that is free and there is no need to visit because there is nothing to see! I hope the above information can help you plan your trip. #trip #travel with family #goal achievement #write meaningful articles #100 ways to travel
