This is the mausoleum of the second feudal lord, Date Tadamune, and was built by the fourth feudal lord, Date Tsunamura. Like Zuihoden, Kansenden was also magnificently built, but due to the anti-Buddhist movement in the early Meiji period and damage from war, only the mausoleum has been rebuilt.
