Guoguang Haosheng Hotel in Sanya Bay

The hotels in Sanya Bay are all separated from the sea by a main road, and the long coastline is lined with hotels. Guoguang Haosheng is one of the older hotels here, located close to Phoenix Airport, just a ten to twenty-minute drive from the airport. Our package included airport pick-up, and we received a text from the driver as soon as we got off the plane, which was very reassuring. The driver was waiting for us opposite the exit, and we went to the hotel to check in. Everything went very smoothly, and welcome cookies and a small card were prepared in the room. The hotel rooms are a bit far from the sea, with a huge lawn in between. In the evening, there are family activities, which are quite popular. The package included a buffet dinner, and I didn't expect to find not-so-fresh seafood in Sanya, which was a very disappointing meal at an old five-star hotel. However, the dishes we ordered separately were quite good. There is a special swimming pool for children in the hotel, which our child loved. Swimming rings are available for free loan, and the pool closes at 6 pm. To get to the beach, you need to walk through an underground passage. The entrance is right outside the hotel, which is very convenient. Our child was so excited to see the sand that he couldn't move, took off his shoes, and rushed in. The sand is quite fine, and it's no problem to walk on it barefoot. There are a lot of people watching the sunset. We didn't go to the Yemeng Gallery, as we could see it right there. The beauty of the sunset can't be captured with a phone, so we gave up. The hotel breakfast is divided into two areas, and around 9 am, there might be a wait. There are plenty of seats, so you don't have to wait too long. We went at 8:30 am on the first day, and one area was already full, while the other was still quite empty. On the second day, we went at 9 am and had to queue for a while before getting in. Guoguang Haosheng doesn't have anything particularly surprising. The service is not proactive, but there are no mistakes either, just average. Its advantages are its good location and reasonable prices.
