Sandakan Memorial Park - Dedicated to Sandakan Death Marches

#cityplaybook Sandakan Memorial Park is a historical site. This site is now a forest reserve that is maintained and supervised by the Sabah Forestry Department. Sandakan Memorial Park is open from 8.00 am - 5.00 pm. Sandakan Memorial Park was built to commemorate the Sandakan Death Marches where all the prisoners in the camp died during the Sandakan Death March and also died while traveling to Ranau, Sabah. Here, what is interesting is that there are remains of historical relics that you can see. Among them is an excavator and a genetator and a boiler which until now still remain in their original position without being changed.
