San Diego Safari Zoo

Finally, my family came to Safari Zoo. Considering that every month, members have the opportunity to participate in a free Early Hour Trap, and the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Wild Animal Park also share tickets, the whole family bought an annual pass: the child is the cheapest, my father bought a resident discount card without free parking, and I bought a senior membership with free parking. The total cost was $380 (it was worth it if the whole family came twice) San Diego has entered the height of summer in June. You must apply thick sunscreen when visiting the zoo during the day. Although we brought a lot of water, it was still not enough. The sun was very powerful and made us sweat a lot. We didn’t buy much food along the way, but my family bought a lot of water. (Although there are restaurants and shops everywhere in the zoo, American drinks are sweet. My father and I found an iced Americano, and my child had a $10 watermelon cup to survive.) The zoo ticket includes a free sightseeing bus and cable car, which can circle around the protected area. At the same time, we also saw an open jeep tour that could drive into the reserve, but after some research we found that the price of $115 per person (same price for children and adults) was not really worth it. If you catch the one-hour early hour, you can visit it for a whole day. It is said that there will be performances and music events at the night zoo. Today, my family didn’t make any plans to visit the zoo at night. Next time, we can try to come to the zoo at 4 pm and visit until it closes at 9 pm. Due to the hot weather, we didn't see any active animals under the scorching sun 🌞. We just had a quick look at the lying kangaroos 🦘, the platypus in the dark, the unconscious tiger 🐅, and the dazed chimpanzee 🦍.
