It is a large cave, approximately 500 meters from Laem Sala Beach. 🏞️There is a shaft on the ceiling of the cave that allows light to pass through. There is Phra Thinang Khuha Khrueasri, a four-sided pavilion. It was built during the reign of King Rama V during his royal visit on June 20, 1890, which was built in Bangkok by His Royal Highness Prince Khacharajaraswong and sent for assembly by Phraya Chalayutthayothin, the construction supervisor. King Chulalongkorn came to perform the gable raising ceremony. On the right stone wall, there are the initials of King Rama V and King Rama VII in large white letters that catch the eye. Phra Thinang Khuha Khrueasri is a highlight of Tham Phraya Nakhon. 🌞 From the sunlight shining through the ceiling of the cave down to the throne hall at around 10.00 - 11.30 a.m. Makes the area of ​​Phra Thinang Khuha Khrueasri very beautiful. Therefore, it has been used as the seal of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province at present. 🌳 In the area of ​​Tham Phraya Nakhon, there are other interesting things, including: 📍 A well lined with baked clay bricks in the shape of a trapezoid, 1 meter wide and 4 meters deep, called Bo Phraya Nakhon. According to history, during the reign of King Rama I, Chao Phraya Nakhon, the ruler of Nakhon Si Thammarat, sailed past Khao Sam Roi Yot and a big storm occurred. He could not travel any further. So he anchored his boat to take shelter from the storm at this beach for several days. He explored and found a cave above. This cave is therefore called Tham Phraya Nakhon, and a well was dug for drinking, called Bo Phraya Nakhon, which is located before the path leading up to Tham Phraya Nakhon. In addition, there is a natural bridge, which is a cave ceiling with two chimneys and a stone bridge in the middle. You can see it along the path inside the cave before reaching the throne hall. Stupa-shaped stone pillars ⛰️Stalactites and stalagmites that have formed into a stupa. The remains of Luang Pho Ngern, a monk from Wat Bang Khlan, Phichit Province, who once pitched a tent in this cave and ordered that if he died, his remains should be placed in this cave. 🌳🌅Not only the beauty inside the cave, but the surrounding area is also very shady and fertile. Along the way up the mountain, there are places to stop and rest.
