From JR Sakaiminato Station to the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum, 177 bronze statues of monsters are lined up on both sides of the road. Characters from GeGeGe no Kitaro are everywhere, so just walking around is fun! There's a Yokai Shrine and the shops are filled with yokai, so the retro feel of the town is nice. My son, who had never seen GeGeGe no Kitaro, learned more about it here and went home loving yokai!
