Dinosaur Excavation Site, Kalasin Province

Phu Kum Khao Dinosaur Excavation Site, or some people call it the Phu Kum Khao Dinosaur Excavation Site Museum, is located inside Sakkawan Temple (Phu Kum Khao), Kalasin Province. It is another tourist attraction that will take us back to see dinosaurs in the past. This place is different from the various exhibition zones of the Sirindhorn Museum in that it is another building that is the point where the first dinosaur skeleton of Phra Yanawisalthera (Luang Pu Ha Subharo), the abbot of Sakkawan Temple, was discovered. In addition, the Department of Natural Resources has built the Phra Yanawisalthera Building, named after the abbot's ecclesiastical title, and made this building a permanent excavation site. Inside the building, in addition to various knowledge boards, we will find a large dinosaur excavation site. It is considered the largest and most complete dinosaur fossil site in Thailand. It is currently open to interested people and tourists. Visit for knowledge and travel inside the temple as well.
