Quick Getaway at Harris Resort Barelang Batam

This staycation came out of nowhere, having only planned it the week before. Being only about 1 hour from Singapore via ferry at harbourfront centre, there isn't much hassle journey wise. We booked a shuttle service from the ferry terminal to the resort. We got there early and since the terminal was connected to the megamall, it's really easy to find a place e.g. cafe to have a quick bite/drink while waiting for the pickup time. The shuttle service to the resort is about an hour as well and through the Staycation, I can say for certain that the hospitality and service is really good. The staff there were really friendly, willing to help and even get excited with you when engaging in the activities provided (mainly watersports). This is the first resort that I saw such cute rabbits in the lobby 🥹 We went during the weekdays (Tue to Thur) and true enough there weren't many people so we barely had to wait to participate in the sports/activities. We tried the jet ski, archery and atv drive (so much FUNNN). The instructors are also really patient and engaging. Whether travelling alone or not, you don't have to worry about photo taking as the staff will gladly do it for you. We also went for the massage there and it was too relaxing that my aunt fell asleep 🤭 The food at Barelang Seafood Restaurant was SO GOOD and so value for money. It's definitely a must try. It's quite a distance away by foot but not to worry as there is a free buggy service able to bring you around to places around the resort (rooms, lobby, restaurants). Do opt for the buggy during check in and check outs (easy transport for bulky bags/luggages. Some downsides though, as there's little expected visitors during the days we planned, some of the activities couldn't be done together (atv only available for us on Thurs and jetski on Wed). They appear to be short-staffed as well as there wasn't anyone to takeover certain stations when the staff was on leave (atv), but fortunately we managed to try on the last day. Unfortunately, the food isn't too good, only the pizzas and breakfast buffets are ok (the drinks are quite nice). The main kitchens mainly close at 8pm so be careful of the time.
