This magnificent Jacobean mansion is managed by English Heritage, is a true masterpiece of architecture and history. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the grandeur of the house and the beauty of the surrounding gardens. Stepping inside Audley End feels like traveling back in time. The historic architecture is breathtaking, with each room telling a fascinating story of England’s past. Featuring opulent state rooms, lavish interiors, and intricate detail. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and added so much richness to the experience. The gardens with meticulously maintained, bursting with colour, and incredibly serene were highlight. Walking through the grounds felt like stepping into a painting. We loved strolling through the vibrant parterres, the serene woodland walks, and the charming kitchen garden. The Victorian stable yard was another favorite, where we met the gentle Shire horses and learned about life in the 19th century. The organic café nearby served delicious homemade treats, perfect for a relaxing break.
