In 1985, in order to further strengthen Finland's image as the hometown of Santa Claus and attract more domestic and foreign tourists, the Finnish Tourist Board and the local government formulated the "Hometown of Santa Claus Plan" to establish a unique tourist attraction - Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, Lapland Province. There is nothing wrong with the government. After this successful operation, an extremely ordinary small town on the edge of the Arctic was turned into a tourist destination. For this purpose, a Santa Claus similar to the one in the children's theater was built, but the difference is that the Santa Claus was built inside a cave. The park is actually not very big, it is very small, and it only takes more than an hour to go around it. There is an Arctic post office, igloo, performances, and you can take a small train through the cave to see various cartoon characters, etc. Everything is loved by children. There are two interesting mailboxes in the North Pole Post Office. Any postcard sent from the post office will be stamped with the Santa Claus Post Office postmark, but one mailbox is sent immediately, and the other mailbox is sent on Christmas of the following year. There is also a more important project, taking a photo with Santa Claus. Taking the photo is free, but if you want to get the photo, you have to pay, and the price is not cheap, as high as 17 Euros (2015), and now the lowest price is 30 Euros.
