Wat Mahathat Worawihan

Wat Mahathat Worawihan is a third-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. Evidence suggests that it was built since the Dvaravati period, on Khao Ngu Road, Na Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Ratchaburi District, Ratchaburi Province. It is located almost in the center of Ratchaburi on the west bank of the Mae Klong River. It was originally called "Wat Na Phra That", "Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat". There is a laterite prang, an important ancient temple of Ratchaburi. The interior is beautiful. There is a sacred principal Buddha image and an old prang. The laterite prang is 12 wah high. Inside, there are murals on the prang.
