Montmorency Falls, Quebec, Canada

Montmorency Falls is located about 14 kilometers northeast of Quebec City, Canada. The waterfall is 83 meters high, 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls in the United States and Canada. There are stairs that allow visitors to view the falls from several different angles, and there is also a cable car that transports passengers between the base and top of the falls. In summer, the park hosts an international fireworks competition with the falls as a backdrop. During the summer months, the falls glow a golden yellow due to the high iron content in the water bed. The suspension bridge at the top of the waterfall provides access to both sides of the park. This is the only way to see the waterfall up close in winter.
