Se Catedral Hotel: A must-stay hotel in Porto, Portugal! Exceeded the expectations!

This Se Catedral is part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, which brings together many original upscale hotels that cater to guests seeking reliability and value in independent hotels. I must say, the decor of this hotel is truly unique! Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The hotel is right next to the cathedral, and all attractions are within walking distance, so we didn’t spend any money on public transportation. If you’re taking a taxi from the airport, I’ve attached a guide (pictures 8–11) on how to get there easily through the metro, avoiding uphill climbs. Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Before check-in, the hotel emailed me a travel guide—so thoughtful! At check-in, I received a complimentary welcome drink and dessert, which were available for self-service. They even helped with the luggage. Other details can be seen in the photos ⬆️. Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m very sensitive about hotel cleanliness, especially the smell, which can really affect the stay. This hotel’s towels, pillowcases, etc., had no strange smells and were perfectly clean! The cleaning was thorough, and I couldn’t spot any dust. The water pressure was great, making showers very comfortable. You can stay here with peace of mind! Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I booked a Standard Twin Room, about 200 sqft. The only downside was that the bathroom was a bit small, but everything else was fine. I stayed for just three days, so size wasn’t an issue for me. Safety: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On our second morning, we left the room and didn’t hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign, as there was no sign on the door. When we came back, we found that the room had been tidied, including all the skincare and cosmetics we had left on the table. Though nothing was missing, I did feel uneasy knowing someone had entered the room without us knowing. This could’ve been avoided if I had informed the front desk. It’s not a major issue. Soundproofing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m sensitive to noise when sleeping, and during my stay, aside from door opening and closing, I couldn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms. I slept very soundly. Room Amenities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures are common in Europe, so most hotels don’t provide toiletries or kettles. This hotel didn’t have them either, but I called to request them, and they were delivered right away. Water can be refilled for free, just by calling. Surprise Factor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ See picture 4️⃣. Overall Experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One sentence: If you’re coming to Porto, stay at this hotel! I’m very picky about hotels, and I can responsibly say this one is excellent!
