Jiangxi's unique scenery: Pingxiang Anyuan Road Mine Workers' Movement Memorial Hall

The Anyuan Road Mine Workers Movement Memorial Hall is a commemorative revolutionary museum located in Anyuan Town, Anyuan District, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. The museum was formerly the Anyuan Road Mine Workers Club Ruins Exhibition Hall founded in 1956. The exhibition hall was built in 1968, opened in 1969, and changed to its current name in August 1984. The Anyuan Road Mine Workers Memorial Hall faces south and covers an area of ​​200 acres, with a construction area of ​​3,245 square meters and an exhibition area of ​​2,400 square meters. Anyuan is the cradle of China's workers' movement, the birthplace of modern Chinese industry, and the source and main outbreak site of the Autumn Harvest Uprising on the Hunan-Jiangxi border. The basic exhibits of the memorial systematically introduce the history of the Anyuan Railway Mine workers led by the Communist Party of China from 1921 to 1930 to carry out strike struggles, peasant movements and armed struggles to oppose imperialism and feudalism. The exhibition hall is divided into six parts: (1) Railway and mining workers under triple oppression; (2) Organizing; (3) Railway and mining workers' strike; (4) Persistence and development after the "February 7" tragedy; (5) Workers and peasants united to support the Northern Expedition; (6) Autumn Harvest Uprising and armed separatism. In addition to texts, pictures and real objects, there are also large sculptures such as "The Hardship of Miners", "Mao Zedong Goes to Anyuan", "The General Strike", "Worker-Peasant Alliance", and "Running to Jinggangshan". The exhibition building in the museum area has a majestic shape. The entire exterior wall is covered with light yellow tiles, the eaves are surrounded by golden glazed bricks, and the eight large characters "A single spark can start a prairie fire" are cast on the main walls on both sides. It is a landmark building in Pingxiang and a beautiful red business card.
