Wat Thakarong

Another temple that tourists like to visit to pay homage to the sacred Buddha image, named "Phra Phutta Rattana Mongkol" or "Luang Pho Yim", is believed to have been built in the early Ayutthaya period when the city was prosperous and peaceful. Wat Tha Karong Floating Market The area behind Wat Tha Karong has been set up as a floating market. The market sells a variety of foods, including boat noodles, fried rice, snacks such as rolled noodles, herbal som tam, fried chicken with sticky rice, grilled meatballs, palm cakes, ice cream, and beverage shops such as coffee and iced tea served in bamboo tubes, which look strange and refreshing.
