#triptravelchina 🏡Wat Chulamani is an ancient site that predates the Sukhothai period. It used to be the site of the old city of Songkhwae. King Borommatrailokanat built the temple and ordained at this temple in 2007 B.E., with 2,348 royal servants ordained as monks following him. Inside the temple, there are important ancient sites worth seeing, namely: 🛕 A small Khmer-style prang made of laterite. The front is built in a three-sided style, standing on a high base with three layers. Each layer has twenty-cornered corners. There are stucco decorations in the steps. The lower part of the front board and the lotus bud are decorated with swan patterns, similar to the prang at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat in Lopburi Province. 🛕 A replica of the Buddha's footprint pavilion, which King Narai the Great ordered to be built. The inscription in front of the pavilion can be summarized as follows: In 2221 B.E., King Narai the Great ordered a cloth to be placed over the Buddha's footprint, carved on a stone slab.
