Its magnificent architecture is striking even from the roadside, and even if you don’t plan to explore the museum’s interior, taking a photo in front of the iconic glass pyramid is a must. For those venturing inside, make sure to see the three treasures of the Louvre (it’s almost a waste to visit the Louvre without seeing them!): 1. Venus de Milo (Vénus de Milo) 2. Mona Lisa (La Joconde) 3. Winged Victory of Samothrace (Victoire de Samothrace) The museum provides free maps on-site, and you can also download a guide map online to ensure you don’t miss any exhibition halls. Entering the museum requires some planning. It’s recommended to purchase tickets in advance, though tickets can also be bought on-site. There are several entrances, and depending on the time of your visit, you may need to use a specific entrance. Arrive 30 minutes to an hour early to locate the correct entrance, as the museum is often crowded. My photos show just how long the lines can get 🥹. Once inside, it’s best to follow a pre-planned route to ensure you don’t miss any exhibition halls, as the museum is vast with numerous galleries. The Louvre also offers restaurants and souvenir shops to cater to various visitor needs. ❤️ (A friendly tip: The Mona Lisa gallery is a must-see treasure of the Louvre. You’ll know you’re close when you see the largest crowd gathered at the entrance 😂. Entry is limited to a certain number of visitors at a time, and the gallery is extremely crowded.
