Idyllic Koh Kret on the outskirts of Bangkok

You can take a bus to a temple called Wat Sanam Nuea, and then take a ferry to Koh Kret. It's convenient to use ViaBus to find the right bus. Narrow roads run through the island, with shops lined up on the sides. You can go around the island and enjoy the nature, temples, and other points of interest. However, there were a lot of large stray dogs (dogs roaming loose?), so I was scared and turned back halfway. Please be careful of dogs, especially in deserted areas. When I went there, only a few shops were open, but it was such a simple and peaceful place that it was hard to believe it was so close to Bangkok. #BangkokTourism #KohKret
