Photo Snow Bomb Sapporo

#JanuaryTravelSupportEvent #FebruaryTravelSupportEvent I went on a 4-night, 5-day trip during the snow festival in early February. It snowed a lot, so I got to see the beautiful snow to my heart's content. The snow wasn't dirty and was really pretty. But it wasn't as cold as I thought. On the first day, I ate butter ramen at the famous Harukaramensu in the ramen alley in downtown Sapporo. On the second day, I went on a day tour to Biei. On the third day, I originally planned to see drift ice, but I changed my plan and went to Otaru. I also bought a music box and LeTAO cheesecake in Otaru. On the fourth day, I went to Noboribetsu and stopped by the sulfur hot spring and bear ranch that day. On the fifth day, I visited the Sapporo Beer Museum and returned home. It was the best trip I've ever been to Japan, and I'll definitely see the drift ice next time. Don't forget to bring a hot pack and wear winter shoes. Each hotel rents out umbrellas, so you don't have to bring one.

Panoramic Flower Gardens Shikisai-no-oka

🌾 [Biei, Hokkaido] A trip to the hill town where you can relax in the patchwork of the earth ⸻ 🌟 The charms and attractions of Biei • Colorful hilly landscape: On the "Patchwork Road" and "Panorama Road", you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of flowers and fields by bicycle or drive. The contrast with the Tokachi mountain range seen from the hills is truly a symbol of Japan's original landscape . • Shirogane Blue Pond: Although it is an artificial pond, the contrast between the blue of the water and the standing dead trees is mysterious. From spring to summer, it is cobalt blue, and in autumn it harmonizes with the autumn leaves, and in winter the lighting is fantastic . • Shirahige Falls: About 2.5 km from the Blue Pond. The waterfall, which springs white due to the influence of minerals, is a famous spot where the contrast between the flow and the blue river is beautiful . • Flower fields and seasonal colors: At Shikisai-no-Oka, where various flowers bloom in every season, lavender, poppies, marigolds, and more bloom like a magnificent carpet. ⸻ 🚶Access & Activities Access • Car: About 40 minutes from Asahikawa Airport, and rental cars and bicycles are convenient for getting to each spot from JR Biei Station. • Bus: In summer, you can access the Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls by sightseeing bus (Biyu Bus) from Biei Station. Activities • Cycling: The "hill bike" tour around the hills is a staple of Biei. You can ride along the Patchwork Road and Panorama Road while feeling the breeze. • Farm experience: You can also experience the life of Biei through workshops with local farmers (such as harvesting asparagus and wheat, stargazing, etc.). ⸻ 📅Recommended seasons to visit • Spring (May and June): The blue pond turns greenish blue due to the melting snow. The flower fields are just about to start . • Summer (July to August): The colorful flower fields and the emerald blue pond are at their peak. • Autumn (September to October): The contrast between the autumn leaves and the indigo blue is exquisite. The crowds also calm down a little. • Winter (November to February): Biei is fantastic, covered in snow and ice. The illumination of the blue pond stands out even more. ⸻ 🧭Travel tips 1. The light in the morning is beautiful! The rural hills and the blue pond are most vivid in the morning light. We recommend visiting before 9:00. 2. The night illumination is also a rare experience: The blue pond (mid-November to February) is lit up at night, creating a fantastic space that is different from the daytime . 3. Clothing and preparation: UV protection in summer and cold protection in winter are essential. Wear comfortable clothing for hill walking and cycling. 4. Relax in nearby hot springs: Soak in the soft waters of Shirogane Onsen to soothe your tired body after a nature walk. 3. Interact with farmers: Experience local farm work and take a guided walk, and experience the "now" of Biei on this trip. ⸻ ✍️Summary Biei is a "colorful paradise" woven together by hills, flowers, and blue ponds. Experience the town's activities in harmony with nature, and spend a rich time that will relax your mind. It would be a waste to just take photos. Ride your bike, walk through the countryside, and experience the wind and scents with all your senses. Please add "Japan's proud seasonal scenery" to your trip. ⸻ #Hokkaido Tourism #Biei Tourism #Blue Pond #Patchwork Road #Shikisai Hill #Flower Field #Hill Town #Cycling #Farm Experience #Stunning Views #Solo Travel #Family Travel #Couple Travel #Hokkaido Travel Strategy #Hokkaido Strategy
