AI-Driven Musical at Osaka Expo: Bridging Generations

South Korea, known for its global influence through K-POP and dramas, is bringing its expertise in entertainment to the Osaka Expo. The Korean pavilion features a unique experience that combines audience interaction and AI technology to create a collaborative musical performance. Upon entry, visitors are invited to share their thoughts and questions, which are then processed by AI to transform diverse languages and vocal tones into music. This music is paired with dynamic lighting effects in a theater-like space, creating an immersive and collaborative experience. This marks South Korea's return to the Osaka Expo after 55 years, showcasing a stark contrast in national power and creativity compared to half a century ago. The second exhibition hall features a theme of rebirth from ruins, with an abstract design reminiscent of Korean sci-fi films. Visitors can blow into a voice tube, and the intensity of their breath triggers bubbles to emerge from a space station-like installation above, aligning with the theme "WITH Hearts." The more effort put into blowing, the more bubbles are produced. The experience culminates in an immersive musical performance on three large screens. The storyline follows a granddaughter completing her grandfather's melody, blending elements of idol culture, K-POP, cinematic storytelling, and digital post-production.
