USJ is not cheap, especially during the spring break in April, with high ticket prices and large crowds. Lack of planning can easily lead to unpleasantness, particularly for couples. Besides differing spending habits, disagreements often arise over taking photos. Therefore, it's recommended to communicate and plan well in advance to avoid any issues. Here are a few tips from my experience to help you: 1️⃣ You can only get one Mario timed entry ticket. Remember to link your companions' tickets on the USJ official website, get the timed entry ticket on time, generate the QR code, save it, and show it at the park entrance. 2️⃣ There's a "List" button in the top right corner of the park map. You can switch to "Map" mode to check the waiting times for each attraction, making it easier to find what you want to do. 3️⃣ Bring a non-glass water bottle. The park provides drinking water, so you can avoid buying expensive bottled water. 4️⃣ Bring your own portable charger. When the park is crowded, rented chargers can easily run out of battery or be unavailable. 5️⃣ If the park closes at 7pm, the tax refund service also ends at 7pm. It's recommended to get your tax refund before 5:30pm to avoid long queues. 6️⃣ When making a reservation for the Mario restaurant, you need to be near the restaurant to open the reservation link. Save the QR code and confirm, and you'll receive a confirmation link in your email. 7️⃣ If you want to enter quickly through the Single Rider line, tell the staff. The Single Rider line is usually much faster. 8️⃣ Consider carefully whether to buy a Mario power-up band. If you don't have an Express Pass, it's not recommended, as the waiting times are long. If you just want to take photos, you can rent one, but the experience is average. 9️⃣ The staff at the Jaws ride are full of energy, providing a truly Japanese anime-like experience. 🔟 Buy the star-shaped popcorn bucket on the streets outside the park. It saves time compared to buying it inside. Remind the staff to pack the bucket and popcorn separately. 1️⃣1️⃣ Don't forget to bring one or two 100-yen coins, especially for the lockers at the Space Fantasy The Ride and Jurassic Park: The Ride. 1️⃣2️⃣ If you don't want to pay for an Express Pass, you can try the park's concierge service. For ¥350 per person, they'll guide you through 15 attractions and shows within 8 hours.
