Newly Opened Luxury: Four Seasons Hotel Osaka

The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, which opened last September, was on my list for half a year before I finally arranged this stay. I deliberately waited to avoid the "trial period" right after its opening—when the smell of new renovations and the service team adjustments might affect the experience. Now that everything is in place, I can confidently say the wait was worth it. Located in Nishi-Umeda, the hotel is about an eight-minute walk to the Umeda shopping district. While it’s not in the very center, I actually appreciate the quiet distance. Walking back at night feels relaxing. It’s also convenient to get to Osaka Station for JR trains or subway transfers, and visiting Universal Studios Japan doesn’t require much hassle. This time, my friend and I each booked the most basic room type and were assigned to different floors. The rooms are spacious, with a warm beige color scheme, lots of wooden elements, and soft lighting, creating the understated yet stable comfort that Four Seasons is known for. I particularly liked the bathroom design, which features a dry-wet separation and a sliding door that maintains both spatial openness and privacy. The highlight is the oversized square bathtub, which makes soaking feel as relaxing as being at home. A special mention goes to the hairdryer provided in the room, a Japanese Koizumi model with ionic technology. It’s incredibly friendly to my naturally curly hair, leaving it smooth and shiny with minimal effort. I even looked it up online afterward—Hong Kong resellers price it at around HKD 600, and it’s already in my shopping cart. Breakfast is served in the French restaurant on the first floor, with a semi-buffet style offering Japanese and French set options. The overall quality is good, and the atmosphere is very quiet. However, some of the Japanese side dishes were overly salty, which felt a bit excessive. That said, the service remains at the high standard Four Seasons is known for, with every detail from check-in to room cleaning making you feel reassured and cared for.
