Manzamo (まんざもう), located in Onna Village on Okinawa's main island, is a small scenic spot famous for its sea-eroded cliffs. The most iconic feature is the coral rock cliff that resembles an elephant's trunk extending into the sea. Especially at dusk, the entire sea glimmers with golden light under the sunset, and the outline of the elephant's trunk becomes even more vivid, leaving a lasting impression. The entrance fee is very affordable (100 yen for adults), making it almost no burden for travelers. The park features well-maintained trails and observation decks, making it perfect for a short stop to take photos and enjoy the sea breeze. However, it's worth noting that the entire area is quite small, with a circular walking route that takes only about 15 to 30 minutes to complete, so there's no need to allocate too much time. Transportation can be a bit inconvenient as there are no direct trains or frequent buses to Manzamo. Driving is highly recommended.
