The Bailong Academy, built in memory of Mr. Wang Yangming

The Bailong Academy is located in Nanning People's Park and was once one of the largest ancient private academies in southern China, boasting a long history and profound cultural heritage. Constructed during the Ming Dynasty, the academy is nestled on the southern slope of Wangxian Hill, surrounded by towering ancient trees and a clear lake, from which it derives its name. After its reconstruction in 2022, the academy focuses on showcasing Wang Yangming's contributions in Guangxi, continuing the literary tradition of the Fuwen Academy he founded, while incorporating modern educational functions. With its lush greenery and tranquil environment, the academy has become a cultural landmark within the park.
