Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone

🏮Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, and is also known as Niutou Mountain. It is about 10 km from Nanjing Zhonghuamen Gate and covers an area of about 5 square kilometers. Niushou Mountain is one of the main mountains in Nanjing. It gets its name from the two prominent peaks at the top of the mountain, which resemble the horns of a bull's head. It is also known as Niutou Mountain. 🏮Niushou Mountain is a low-mountain and hilly area, originating from the Ningzhen Mountain Range. The Ningzhen Mountain Range is an arc-shaped fold protruding northward, formed from the late Jurassic to the early Cretaceous period in the eastern part of the Zigu continent through the Ningzhen movement. Niushou Mountain is the southern branch of its western section. 🏮Niushou Mountain has rich cultural resources, including the Jiangsu Provincial Forest Park - Niushou Mountain Forest Park and the China National 4A Tourist Attraction - Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone. There are related cultural attractions such as Foding Temple, Foding Pagoda, Foding Palace, Yuefei Anti-Gold Fortress, Cliff Stone Carvings, Hongjue Temple Pagoda, and Zheng He Culture Park. The parietal bone relic of Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined in the Foding Palace on Niushou Mountain.
