I have been to Nakhon Si Thammarat many times and stayed in many hotels. This time I had the chance to stay at the Mandy Nok Hotel, located on Phatthanakan-Khu Kwang Road. It is a hotel that is like an art gallery in itself. The corridors, rooms, and areas inside and outside are decorated with paintings and Thai art. When I saw them, I thought of the work of Ajarn Chalermchai Khositphiphat, a Chiang Rai artist who created Wat Rong Khun. This time I stayed in a suite room with a separate living room, which was a bit more spacious. The hotel's breakfast included southern curry and fish curry, which was very tasty. They also had the usual Western menu. This hotel is near Robinson Department Store and many places to eat. I went to Bang Bao Tea Shop, where the fish congee was delicious, and the roti and tea were strong and good.
