"Nakhon Luang Castle", Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province A combination of Thai-Khmer architecture, a pair of Ayutthaya, modeled after a castle in Cambodia. Made of brick and mortar, it was built in 2174 during the reign of King Prasat Thong. The pavilion enshrining the Buddha's footprint is quite simple in design, with no gable decorations. It has a pavilion-like top. But before going inside the pavilion, we will see a newly built statue of Ganesha at the front entrance. Having a three-tiered base can be found in many important Khmer castles, such as Angkor Wat, Baphuon, or Bayon.
