Stay at one of Manchester’s most historic buildings

The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is part of the IHG hotels group. The building was originally built in the 1890s to house a famous insurance company. This luxury hotel has over 334 rooms and is a complete maze to find your room. Expect to get lost! The rooms are huge with the highest ceilings we have ever had in a hotel room. There are lots of creative and thoughtful touches in the hotel such as old signs which date back to the buildings original use and a selection of famous local snacks. The bar is well worth checking out too with more historic touches and a great selection of cocktails. Compared to many other cities, accommodation in Manchester is reasonable priced and you can find rooms in this hotel for around £100 per night. This is a bargain when you consider the space, quality and history. However, be prepared, it is suggested that room 261 is haunted with reports of sounds of children playing at night.
