Wat Den Saleesri Mueang Kaen, Chiang Mai Province or as many people call it Wat Ban Den, is a famous temple in Mae Taeng District. The highlight of Wat Den Saleesri Mueang Kaen is the grandeur of the various temples, which are designed with teak wood in the Lanna style. Along the stairs leading up to each temple hall, there are figures of various animals from legends or literature to see, such as eagles, nagas, elephants, and many other animals. In addition, around the temple, there are zodiac signs for each birth year and replicas of the pagoda. Wat Den Saleesri Mueang Kaen has replicated all 12 zodiac signs in one place so that people born in different zodiac signs can pay homage to the pagodas of their birth years.
