The Interweaving of History and Faith: Nezha Temple and the Ruins of St. Paul's

#MacauItinerary In the morning light, I walked into the Nezha Temple hidden in the old town of Macau. This small and quaint temple stands side by side with the magnificent European-style building, the Ruins of St. Paul's, forming a unique cultural contrast. Prince Nezha is enshrined in the temple, with incense burning everywhere and the altar filled with flowers and fruits offered by believers. I lit a stick of incense, prayed quietly, and felt the wonderful atmosphere of Macau's diverse cultural blend. In the afternoon, I walked up the stone steps and arrived at Macau’s most representative landmark, the Ruins of St. Paul’s. This historical relic, which has withstood hundreds of years of wind and rain, now only has its magnificent facade left, with exquisitely carved icons and biblical stories, bearing witness to Macau's former glory. I climbed up to the observation deck and overlooked the entire old town of Macau. Red-tiled roofs were intertwined with modern high-rise buildings, and history and modernity blended here, telling the unique story of this city.
