Here’s how to make the most of your trip: 🌄 Hot Air Balloon Ride over Luxor A must-do experience! Watching the sunrise over the Nile and ancient temples from above is magical. I paid $50 for a sunrise flight, though prices may vary (some offer non-sunrise flights for around $40). Even if you skip the ride, wake up early to watch the balloons float across the sky — it’s worth it. 🏛 Top Places to Visit * Valley of the Kings: This necropolis houses the tombs of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, including the famous Tutankhamun. Entry includes 3 tombs; electric shuttle to the site costs 20 EGP. Extra tombs require additional tickets. * Temple of Karnak: The largest ancient temple in the world, dedicated to Amun-Ra. You’ll be amazed by the massive columns and open courtyards. * Luxor Temple: Located in the city center, near the train station. Built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, it’s easy to explore on foot.
