2-day tour to Lumbini, a spiritual pilgrimage

🔶🔶🔶Lumbini, a small town in southern Nepal, is the birthplace of the founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni, and is a holy place in the hearts of Buddhists all over the world. Stepping into here, you can feel the tranquility and peace in every inch of the air. 🎏My itinerary: Day 1️⃣: First encounter with Lumbini ■Noon: Arrive in Lumbini, I chartered a car from Pokhara, it took nearly 6 hours to drive 200 km of mountain road. After arrival, check in at Buddha Hotel and take a rest. ■Afternoon: Visit the Lumbini Museum to learn more about the history and development of Lumbini and Buddhist culture. Then, go to the nearby Peace Pagoda to overlook the beautiful scenery of Lumbini. ■Evening: Stroll through the streets of Lumbini, experience the local customs and traditions, and listen to the Pali "Three Refuges," which is full of Zen. Taste street snacks such as curry puffs and masala tea, and contact the TUTU car for the next day, then return to the hotel to rest. Day 2️⃣: Pilgrimage to the holy land ■Early morning: Go to Lumbini Garden, the core area of Lumbini, which is also a world cultural heritage site. First visit the Maya Devi Temple, which houses a statue of Maya Devi giving birth to Shakyamuni under the Sal tree. The ancient ruins and holy pond around it seem to tell stories of the past. Then, visit the Ashoka Pillar, whose inscription clearly proves the sacred status of Lumbini. ■Noon: Go to the temple area, where there are temples of different styles, which is a window to learn about the Buddhist culture of different countries. Visit the Singapore Temple, Indian Temple, Japanese Temple, and Nepali Temple in turn, and finally arrive at the Chinese Temple built with the assistance of China, with red walls and yellow tiles, showing solemnity and peace. ■Afternoon: After the visit, pack your luggage and go to the airport, take Buddha Air to return. 🌟Notes: 1. Shoes must be removed and dress appropriately when entering the temple. 2. Respect local beliefs and customs, and do not touch the Buddha statues and relics in the temple. 3. The temple complex is widely distributed, and chartering a TUTU car is the best choice to visit it in one day.
