【Must-visit in London】Rediscover the Earth through Time and Space Natural History Museum

An incredible place, probably the most popular museum in London and a must-see for many visitors to London, and a must-see in the global museum world. You absolutely must visit it, the kids will be amazed and the adults won't believe how many impressive things there are in this national museum! It was a great experience! Even if it is free, remember to make an appointment to avoid queuing, because if you don't have a reservation, there is always a huge ticket collection line near the entrance of the museum, and it takes almost an hour to enter. The museum is famous for its dinosaur skeleton exhibit and gorgeous architecture, sometimes called a cathedral of nature. On the first floor there is such a grand hall waiting for you, it feels like being in Hogwarts. The arches, columns and ceiling architecture are beautiful. The museum is huge, and the museum houses specimens of life and earth sciences, including about 80 million items in five major collections: botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology, and zoology. Many of the collections are of great historical and scientific value, such as the specimens collected by Charles Darwin. If it's your first time, I would definitely recommend at least getting a map as the place is huge with lots of rooms and alleyways to navigate. It's easy to get lost or miss some sections if you're not careful, so make sure you plan the areas you want to visit. It’s hard to say what the most popular exhibit here is? The blue whale skeleton that stands above the entrance hall, the animatronic Tyrannosaurus in the Dinosaur Corridor, or the life-size model of a blue whale in the Mammal Gallery. Also worth a visit is the Darwin Centre (book a free tour to see some of the most interesting and sometimes horrifying specimens not on public display). Unless you have the stamina for a whole day, there is an expensive restaurant inside the museum that can provide you with supplies (black tea £3, muffin £4.15)! However, I would still recommend setting aside at least 3-4 hours to choose a few areas to explore, a great experience with children or friends, and a small shop where you can leave with a panda or a dinosaur. -------------------------------------- 🏛️ Natural History Museum 🕙 10:00 ~ 17:30 📍 Cromwell Rd, South Kensington, London 🚇 South Kensington (Circle, District line, Piccadilly) #Must-visit check-in spots in the UK #British travel #London #Museum #Animals #Specimens #Victorian architecture #World wonders #Good places for families #Family travel #Historical sites #Fantasy journey
