[London] 3 hidden gems that are not the norm but are highly recommended

Here are some recommended hidden spots that I visited on my trip to London in May 2023 that are not standard but were worth visiting. ①London Transport Museum (photos 1-2) This museum gives a good understanding of the history of London's transportation, including the tube (underground) and double-decker buses. If you like trains and buses, you will definitely enjoy it. There is also a shop where you can buy stylish souvenirs that imitate the London Underground logo. Address: Covent Garden Piazza, London WC2E 7BB ②Fortnum & Mason Royal Exchange (photos 3-5) Fortnum & Mason is famous for its main store in Piccadilly, but it also has a store inside the Royal Exchange in the financial district of the City. It is recommended because you can experience afternoon tea in a magnificent building and the price is a little cheaper than the main store. (You can't have refills of scones or desserts like you can at the main Piccadilly store. Of course you can have refills of tea.) Address: Covent Garden Piazza, London WC2E 7BB ③Padella (Italian restaurant) (Photos 5-6) A highly rated (Googlemap ★4.5) Italian restaurant near Borough Market. I happened to go in and had tagliolini (flat pasta) with garlic and escargot (£14), and it was the best meal I had in London.
