The Liaoyang Museum is located at No. 2 Zhongxin Road, Baita District, Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. It was originally the villa of Peng Xian, the general manager of the official silver number of the three eastern provinces during the Republic of China and the president of the Northeast Border Bank, known as the "Peng Mansion". The museum was established in 1985 and is a modern historical national third-level museum. Its collection of cultural relics exceeds 6,000 sets, including 32 sets of national first-class cultural relics and more than 1,000 sets of third-class and above cultural relics. The architectural style of the museum is Chinese antique architecture, covering an area of 30,000 square meters, divided into west, middle, and east courtyards, forming a complete display and exhibition system. The main collections in the museum include precious cultural relics such as the Ming Dynasty Liaoyang White Pagoda Copper Gilded Sakyamuni Buddha Statue, the Eastern Han Dynasty Hollow Geometric Pattern Copper Incense Burner, and the Spring and Autumn Bronze Axe Chisel Stone Model. In addition to the main Peng Mansion Exhibition Hall, the Liaoyang Museum also manages several other museums, including the Liaoyang Folk Museum, the Liaoyang Han and Wei Mural Museum, the Wang Erli Memorial Hall, and the Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall. These museums each have different themes and characteristics, and together they show the 2,300-year history of Liaoyang. The opening hours of the museum are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday (stop admission at 16:30), and from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays (stop admission at 18:30), and it is free to open.
