The exhibition is divided into four parts: "Prehistoric", "Tang and Song Dynasties", "Yuan and Ming Dynasties", and "Qing Dynasty and Republic of China", demonstrating the objective historical fact that Tibet's outstanding traditional culture is an important part of Chinese culture. Tibet's prehistoric culture has gone through three historical stages of development: the Paleolithic Age, the Neolithic Age, and the Early Metal Age. Therefore, the entire prehistoric hall is divided into three units to describe Tibet's prehistoric culture. The Tang and Song Dynasties are divided into four parts: "Tubo Regime", "Tubo Society", "Harmony and Unity", and "Spread of Buddhism". The Yuan and Ming Dynasties focused on the governance of Tibet by the central governments of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, the social development of Tibet, and the exchanges between Tibet and other regions. During the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, while attaching importance to and giving preferential treatment to Tibetan Buddhism, the central governments of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China further strengthened their management of Tibetan Buddhist monks and religious affairs by establishing and implementing systems such as the "Golden Urn Lottery".
