Leshan Buddhas in Chengdu

If you go to Chengdu, you must take the time to get to Leshan. The moment I walked into the caves, I had a smile on my face. It is actually jaw dropping, it’s so gorgeous. Almost all the carvings and statues have detailed descriptions in English too, so you can learn about them while you’re there. It’s home to some of the largest Buddhas for certain criteria; sitting down, lying down etc. And, of course, the most famous statue outside is stunning as well.
