A very famous donut shop in Kyoto. The interior of the cafe, designed by Kengo Kuma, is based on the theme of "a bamboo basket space that continues into the depths," and is decorated with 572 bamboo baskets from Arashiyama. The donuts are all additive-free and organic. Many of the flavors use Kyoto's specialty products, and just looking at them gets you excited. There is a kitchen attached, and when I visited, a large number of cookie tins were being produced. You can enjoy donuts that are only available for eat-in and limited-time shaved ice in front of the counter kitchen. Of course, I visited during the day on a weekday for take-out, so there weren't that many customers.
