Nonomiya Jinja, the goddess of matchmaking 💞

Nonomiya Jinja Shrine is a small shrine located in the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto Prefecture. Inside the shrine is the statue of Nonomiya Daikokuten, the god of matchmaking, which people often come to worship for love and couples. 💘🪽 Inside the shrine, there are also love charms for sale. You can choose the one you want because there are so many types. In October of every year, the Saiku Gyorettsu procession is held, an ancient tradition that is over 600 years old. It is a ceremony in which unmarried princesses of the imperial family are sent to become nuns at Ise Shrine. They must come to purify themselves before Nonomiya Shrine.
