Madhatter Dessert Bar - A Hidden Gem in Kepong

Madhatter has long been my go-to dessert spot whenever there’s a stopover in Kuala Lumpur. Previously located in Damansara Uptown, it has since moved to Kepong with a refreshed space—simple, minimalist, and clean. Despite the change in location, the desserts remain just as delightful as ever. This visit, I ordered their signature Lychee Coffee and Orange Jasmine Delight—both refreshing and full of character. What truly made the experience special was getting to try an off-menu plated Strawberry Cheesecake. Layers of sliced strawberries, strawberry compote, cookie crumbs, and cream cheese were elevated with a surprise element—hidden basil jelly, which added a unique herbal twist. Grateful for the opportunity to try it! Another highlight was the Dark Chocolate Calamansi—a delicate balance of calamansi curd and chocolate sponge, covered in a smooth, thin layer of chocolate ganache, resting on a base of hazelnut crunch. Every bite was a joy.
