[Shikoku] Statue of Sakamoto Ryoma facing the Pacific Ocean

The statue of Sakamoto Ryoma at Katsurahama. Its pedestal is 8m high and its height is 5.3m, so it's a sight to behold when you're standing nearby. It gazes out at the Pacific Ocean. When I visited, a temporary observation deck was set up next to the statue of Sakamoto Ryoma. It is not usually set up, but it is set up for four months a year. According to Kochi City, For two months from early April every year, and for about two months around November 15th, Ryoma's birthday and death anniversary, an observation deck is set up next to the statue, allowing you to view the Pacific Ocean from Ryoma's perspective. After seeing the statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, I went down to Katsurahama and looked out at the sea. I wonder if the view was the same when Sakamoto Ryoma was alive? Sakamoto Ryoma died at a young age.
