Wat Pathumwongsawat

Wat Pathum Wongsawat is an ancient temple of the Thai Phuan community, which are Laotian immigrants who settled in this area more than 200 years ago. It is located in Ko Wai Subdistrict, Pak Phli District. Inside the temple, there is a replica of the Kusawadee Stupa in Indian style, enshrining the relics of 28 Buddhas. Inside the stupa, there is an Ashoka pillar made of Indian-style jade. In addition, inside the temple, there is a Thai Phuan local museum, displaying Thai Phuan items. There is a group of villagers who weave and sell Thai Phuan woven cloth, which is made from artificial silk and synthetic Toray fibers in various patterns, such as ancient patterns, mudmee patterns, and sarongs.
