Tsagaan Sobraga 🇲🇳 | Mongolian Gobi Desert Day 1 Scenery As soon as I left Ulaanbaatar's Chinggis Khaan International Airport, the cool breeze and the vast Mongolian sky greeted me. The destination was Tsagaan Sobraga (White Cliff), located at the entrance of the Gobi Desert. To get there, I had to ride a Russian 4WD vehicle called 'Purgong' across the endless grassland.😃 When I got on the Purgong, the body of the vehicle looked somewhat worn but sturdy. As I drove with the windows open, the road gradually disappeared as I left Ulaanbaatar and the vast grasslands unfolded. As the noise of the city gradually faded away, all I could hear was the sound of the wind and the engine of the Purgong. The experience of running through the grasslands without a road felt like going on an expedition. I could see nomads herding sheep and horses in the distance, and occasionally I could feel the traces of the nomads’ lives as smoke rose from the yurts (gers) I encountered!! I stopped the car in the middle and looked up at the sky, and under the endless blue sky, fluffy clouds were slowly drifting by. The air of the grasslands was clear and fresh, and the scent of grass tickled my nose. The driver occasionally stopped the car and explained the horses and camels in the distance, which was a sight I could not see in Korea, so it was even more amazing and interesting~✌️ After arriving near Chagang Sobraga, I got off the Purgong and stood on the cliff, and a quiet landscape unfolded where I could hear nothing but the sound of the wind.
