Guanshanling Mountain - Gravel slope, rope-drawn rock wall and white triangulation point

Guanshanling Mountain (3,173.7m) is located in the southern section of the Central Mountain Range, close to Yushan National Park, and is one of the 100 most popular peaks in the Southern Cross-Island Highway. Although the wind is strong, the overall difficulty is not too high, attracting many climbers to challenge it. Climbing process I was stunned when I arrived at the trailhead - it was full of gravel and there was no obvious path. I had to ask passers-by to determine the direction. After walking for a while, we realized that we had taken the wrong route. No wonder it was so difficult to climb! 😂 Difficult terrain challenges Many gravel slopes: unstable and easy to slip. ·Rope-pulling large rock wall: Some sections require climbing with both hands and feet, which consumes a lot of physical energy. Bad weather: It was windy, rainy and cold that day. Psychological warfare at the end I thought there were only 200m left to reach the summit, but when I saw the super high mountain, I instantly wanted to give up... until my partner shouted, "We're there!", then I was willing to move forward. It turned out that the triangulation point was not at the top of the mountain, but at a lower place. It was surrounded by white fog and I couldn’t see anything.
