Tham Phuwa Temple

Wat Tham Phu Wa Wat Tham Phu Wa is located in Nong Ya Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. It is a branch of Wat Pak Nam. Wat Tham Phu Wa is a large hall-like cave. In front of the cave is a large brown-red sandstone castle in the style of ancient Khmer art with intricate and beautiful patterns. The surrounding atmosphere is surrounded by mountains and forests, shady, clean, and beautiful. When you enter the cave, you will see beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. It is said that in the past, this temple had a cave as a chapel. Inside the cave, there is a Buddha statue in the meditation posture as the principal Buddha image. It is also the place where the Buddha's relics brought from Myanmar are enshrined for tourists to pay homage to. Later, it was extensively renovated by building a sandstone chapel to cover the cave.
