Wat Nong Phong Nok (Wat Charoen Rat Bamrung), a beautiful temple in Nakhon Pathom

Wat Charoen Rat Bamrung or Wat Nong Phong Nok is located in Village 12, Tambon Saphan Phatthana, Amphoe Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom Province. It is a temple of the Mahanikaya sect. It was built in 1975 with land donated by Mr. Charoen Lao-arun and public land of approximately 40 rai, 3 ngan, and 28 square wa to serve as a spiritual center for locals and Nakhon Pathom residents. The temple has invited “Luang Pho Mongkhon Nimit”, a 400-year-old Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, carved entirely from stone. It was discovered at an abandoned temple in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province to be enshrined at Wat Nong Phong Nok.
