[Jerez] A one-day tour of Jerez, the home of sherry

I love traveling abroad and visit five times a year, so I'd like to introduce a one-day plan for Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, which I actually visited. Jerez is a beautiful city in Andalusia, famous for its rich history, culture, wine, and flamenco. It's a small city, so I think you can enjoy it in one day, including a wine tour! ①Alcazar The Alcazar of Jerez is a fortress built by Muslims in the 12th century. The labyrinth-like intricate courtyard is interesting. If you go up to the top, you can see the view of the city. ②Cathedral A magnificent Baroque cathedral built in the 17th century, with an attractive, solemn exterior. I only saw it from the outside. There is also a winery (Bodegas Tio Pepe) nearby. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday: 10:00-13:00, 17:00-20:00 Sunday: 10:00-13:00 Admission fee: 5€ for adults ③ Numerous wineries When you walk around the city, you will find sherry wineries everywhere. You need to make a reservation in advance to visit, but just walking around and looking at the exterior is irresistible for sherry lovers... Some wineries offer two-hour tours with advance reservations. If you find a winery that interests you, please make a reservation and go! ④ Station The station in Jerez is very beautiful. The tiled waiting room and platform are mesmerizing. Take a good look at it!! I also visited wine shops and walked around the city, so one day was just right.
